I believe Wayta does. Okay. We prepared ourselves well for this expedition with many tools, hands and supply. We gathered the best men we could. But what are years of physical grit, blood and battle to an attack on the mind? Some of our strongest dissolved into mud as the forces did their work on them. Thank the deities, we were able to keep our crew afloat as their nightmares clawed at them from the inside out. Fear is a nasty and unwelcome beast. My people always taught me long ago that fear's grip will behead you before the blade ever has its chance. I have trained many moons to keep fear at the edge of my vision. I can smell it, but I will not taste it. There are some poisons too damaging even for I to flirt with. I pray the crew has learned something from this. And perhaps more mental training is required upon our return home. The lake holds her mysteries and amplifies our own. This is not an expedition of earth and foot with familiar markers and soft dirt to rest in. This is a journey of water, where the ground does not exist. Nor does the solidity of the destination. We are traversing liquid. The changeable, the mystical. What approaches? I am genuinely intrigued. Because we do not know all is possible out here. Perhaps even love.
