My maiden, these westerners are strange beyond my understanding. Their lord carries a sword that speaks. Their farmer channels golden light. Their dragon boy burns with a fire he cannot control. And yet there is something here — something in their commitment to this impossible dream — that resonates with the needful pain I have carried my entire life. Being with these people will be the needful pain. I accept it.
