Marcus — EP28 Journal
Seeds and faith — gods plant themselves in mortals; Merick's dual-god struggle.
Character: Marcus
Episode: EP28: Rude Awakenings
Seeds. As a farmer, the concept of seeds is an easy one for me. We plant them, nourish them with light and water, care for them until it grows, and ultimately it is time to harvest. Lately though, I've begun noticing how the process plays out in the day to day of nearly every person I've run across. Be they farmer, father, friend, or foe. We each plant seeds in those around us and nurture it until, hopefully the desired result is reached. The gods are no different. In us, the gods plant themselves as seeds. They care for us by shaping our lives, granting us wisdom and insight, and in some cases, tangible examples of their presence. In return, we repay them with our worship and honest faith. Like the farmer and the crop, One cannot flourish without the other. My mate Merick has a difficult path ahead of him with two gods vying for his worship. A gamer spiritual tug of war, so to speak, which cannot be easy. He says Granny touched him so that a balance can be struck, and I believe her. But finding that balance may prove more and more difficult to him as the challenges we face become more and more complicated.
