A feared class of practitioners who work with death magic and necromantic arts. They operate outside sanctioned religious hierarchies. Death Tamers are regarded with suspicion, hostility, and dread. Merick was once called a 'dirtbag death tamer.' Their signature artifact is the Calvera — a floating skull that serves as both sentient companion and spellbook. Calveras are created from the trapped essence of another being, meaning every Calvera was once someone.
