Calvera (Floating Skull)

The signature artifact of a Death Tamer. A floating skull that can speak, advise, and interact. Contains the Death Tamer's entire spellbook. Created from the trapped essence of another being — the soul or spiritual remnant is bound into the skull, giving it consciousness and personality. Every Calvera retains aspects of the trapped being's personality, knowledge, and memories. This makes the Calvera both a practical spellcasting focus and a morally fraught companion — the primary tool of power is built on the spiritual enslavement of another person.
