Weisa — EP31 Journal
Fallen children of Sorrow's End — Coyolle's strength, Uralit duty, Borolas's evil.
Character: Weisa
Episode: EP31: The Red Field
Is there anything worse than the sight of a fallen child? I don't think so. To see a face ripe with such potential, so obviously reaching toward becoming frozen in death, it just takes my breath away. I have never seen so many of them this way. Although they are animated here in the village, I can feel where their mana is supposed to. Suspended like rain. Unable to meet the terror. Bound, stuck, airless. Far worse than death. Coyolle is perhaps the strongest woman I have yet to meet. I am proud to know she comes for my people. To bear witness to these young faces again and again and not be able to nurture them with life. I cannot imagine the fortitude of her reserves. She reminds me that my culture has its goodness, its strength in duty. How powerful that rightness is when such foul play ensues. How necessary some things are to keep this world in balance. I, of course, am the one to right this wrong. And I'm proud too. I believe Caepio Boralus must be dead. I wonder when it happened. Was it before or after he slayed them? Before or after he took away all of this happiness? Did he hurt or was he numb? Which is worse?
