Respite. I have reviewed our plan. It's good. As good as I can make it. Titus Invictus has come to trust me. My judgment, my instincts. To think I once plotted ways to kill him on a field of battle. I know now why some believe him to be the second birth of our empire's founder. He is not. Though behind his granite exterior, he cares for the lives of his men far too much. This is worse than the succession wars. Worse even than my own day in the Coliseum, waiting for my life and my freedom beneath His Majesty's own eye. There, death meant vilification, but remembrance.
