Weisa — EP18 Journal
Advisor appointment. Born to rise but humbled. A precious garden to tend.
Character: Weisa
Episode: EP18: Best Intentions
I've always been sure of myself ever since I can remember. It is so strange to be a child and have elders look at you as if you are their superior. To know that I was chosen while others were not. This was my youth, my home full of servants and relics of grandeur. My dignitas already alight. The question was never what would she do? Or even when there was no question, I was born to rise. I didn't know then that I would leave my home and find a place so different from everything I Knew I couldn't have predicted Publia and everything she would teach me. Although I have gone from living in a palace to a corner in a bakery, the light of my birthright has never been extinguished. Even in times where it seemed I only had embers to hold onto, there truly was nothing that could put out the force of my bloodline. So why does this new appointment as Lord Titus advisor feel so incredibly humbling? It was almost impossible to maintain eye contact with him when he shared this news. A different me would have happily and eagerly accepted the obvious position. But now I am more than a daughter of nobility. I am a conduit of my own destiny. My choices and sweat have created this moment. And Juramentum is not a palace to luxuriate in, but a precious garden to tend to, whose fruits will not bear harvest unless I stay sharp, keen and clear. And so I shall.
