EP47: Ebb and Flow

There, Meg reveals she is a priestess of the Blood sun and that the Death Tamers are preventing her from accessing the grove where his avatar was first brought into being.

Ebb and Flo Titus and Livia have a difficult conversation wherein he attempts to bolster her spirits and affirm their connection. She, in turn, tries her utmost to convey the reality of her current agonized state. Titus struggles to fully comprehend this. Marcus encounters Etzadi, Livia's young handmaiden, in the hallway of the keep. Esadi fought to protect Livia during her abduction and was badly beaten for her trouble. Weisa and Grip begin an ongoing discussion about whether or not his extreme attraction towards beloved Trisli, the spiritual head of the visiting Death Tamers, has compromised his ability to assess their intentions clearly. At various points throughout the day, Grip tries to describe why his exploration of these feelings is needful. During this, he reveals he had a twin figula who sacrificed herself so the Grip could escape the domain of the Gravedigger where they were both raised. Devran, feeling rejected, is on the verge of leaving Juramentum when Megara finds him and invites him on an excursion of her own. He agrees and they wind up prowling around the outskirts of the Death Tamer camp. There, Meg reveals she is a priestess of the Blood sun and that the Death Tamers are preventing her from accessing the grove where his avatar was first brought into being. In a moment of profound insight, both Marcus and Mithra peer into the present and past of the now infamous pantry within the keep. Between the two of them, they become aware that the Goddess of Truth is in conversation with another as yet unknown deity. Mithra's deity, the goddess of Needful Pain, also joins the other gods. And now three divine beings hold forth in the confines of the pantry. Mithra herself witnesses the moment in the past where a young girl was lost her faith. The goddess of Needful Pain visits Livia, confronting her with some excruciating truth. Titus and the rest of the present Fellowship run to her. Marcus is able to soothe the worst of her pain. Yet they know the past will not stay buried.
