EP36: Reckoning, Part 2
The Return
As the enemy reels from the draconic assault, the chosen warrior explodes upward, throwing six full grown warriors off of him at the same time with enough force that they are stunned.
Reckoning Part 2 the battle between the Fellowship and the mad Patrician Borolas intensifies now, all fought on the steps of the cathedral and within it. Titus is completely surrounded by the enemy, having allowed himself to be caught out in the open with no means of protecting his back, as a literal ton of humanity converges on him, the young lord eventually gets dragged down in danger of smothering under the combined weight of his attackers. He kills one, Marcus does in another, calling upon the power of the Goddess of Justice. However, it is the newest member of the party, Grip, who blasts 29 of Borolas men simultaneously with a kind of poisonous dragon's breath, who is key to Titus freedom. As the enemy reels from the draconic assault, the chosen warrior explodes upward, throwing six full grown warriors off of him at the same time with enough force that they are stunned. Stunned by the sudden shift in battlefield fortunes inside the cathedral. First Huisa, then Merick do everything in their power to hold off the 20 plus men attempting to force entry via the side door. They exact a steep price, with Merick in particular tying off the contested door in such a way to make their entry impossible. Unfortunately, having not fully explored the cathedral, the Fellowship overlooked a second back entry. Foes begin to pour in from that direction. But more importantly, a Roleus chooses this moment to reveal himself. Presumably having been snuck in via this furthest route previous to the engagement's beginning, and biding his time for his own inscrutable reasons, he explodes on scene, felling Merick with three brutal strokes of his great axe. He appears intent on murdering Marcus. The light bearer initially charges in, successfully directing her blood frenzy at Borolas instead of Titus. At the slimmest of margins, Merick's very life hangs in the balance as the mad Patrician seeks to bring his titanic struggle to a merciless conclusion.
