About Campaign 1
Campaign One, titled “Gold, Green, and Red”, is primarily a war-story. Specifically, it chronicles the burgeoning city of Juramentum’s fight to determine its own freedom-embracing fate. As the only city in the entire world of Terra to not utilize the institute of slavery, it stands as a shining beacon of hope for what could yet be. Likewise, “The Secret of the Word” (literacy), is legal in Juramentum unlike everywhere else in this dark world.
Of course war contains many elements: sacrifice, gut-wrenching decisions, and dire tests of loyalty among them. Alongside the violence and hardship of battle may spring new friendships, deepening old ones, and even love. The final fate of Juramentum, of its people, and its friends and enemies all has yet to be writ. We would be honored for you to join us on this journey to determine all of these, and more.

The oldest by far of the Chosen who defend Juramentum in this generation, Merick escaped slavery as a youth. Although born free, he was captured whilst trying to free others, and paid a high price for his ideals. Now at 48 winters, he nears the end even of a kithgi’s prime, and attempts to instill in Titus a sense of how to navigate the treacherous world around them.

Discovered by the archmagus Figulus Gnaeus as a young girl, Catryn’s vast intellect is equaled only by her sense of isolation. Leaving behind a father who tried to kill her, this young Will-worker now lives with Figulus, both learning from and taking care of him in his final winters. Whether she finds a family better than the one she was born into remains to be seen.

Since that time, she’s grown enormously, both in power and understanding, although she still seeks her place in the vast world around her. She stands as one of Juramentum’s most potent protectors.
