GGR3-05: With the Dawn Tide
GGR Volume 3
Figulus dies. The cathedral of mana collapses. 'So passes a Titan from this world of muscle and blood.' Grip inherits the world. Devran becomes Wartide.
With the Dawn Tide. Figulus Gnaeus dies. The cathedral of mana collapses. Grip delivers his lamentation and then turns to the people of Juramentum in a speech drawn verbatim from the transcript: 'Hear me. You do not know me, but I know you. I am Agrippa. Dawn's Fire. Gnaeus. Advisor to Lord Titus Metellus, grandson of the archmage of the world, Figulus Gnaeus. I am grieved now to inform you that he, after achieving great victory over the forces of evil, has died in the night.' He explains what Figulus did: 'For six decades he waged war on your behalf. He stood as a bulwark holding the line against the rise of spiritual tyranny.' Then the call to hope: 'I stand before you with hope and purpose. Because I remember that Juramentum was forged not from power, but from the refusal to surrender.' Marcus defends his friend Andros. Devran becomes Wartide — 'Connected to Tlaloc now.' A golden dragon appears. The Dream endures.
