EP29: Coyolli
Jason's Island
The dragon is unaware that the ancient empowered necklace that Lady Lucretia Vale entrusted to him renders him immune to what would have otherwise been a withering assault.
Tecpatl, an adolescent green dragon confronts the Fellowship. Although it unleashes its deadly breath, the Fellowship's leader, Titus, seems utterly unaffected. The dragon is unaware that the ancient empowered necklace that Lady Lucretia Vale entrusted to him renders him immune to what would have otherwise been a withering assault. Titus seizes on its surprise, actually convincing the territorial creature to not continue the attack. At that moment, as Tecpatl begins to fly away, promising them at night you die, Titus offers a retort as it flies away, stinging its draconic pride. After a thorough investigation of the village, the party makes contact with the ghost of some of its past inhabitants, specifically a redoubtable Urlet priestess named Coeli and the spirits of the children that are unable to go speak with them. She explains that she had arrived on the island many winters ago in the hopes of averting the current dark age of Tascatli the world is in, yet ultimately failed. Borolas, who apparently came to the island as a young man and his men slaughtered most of the village, capturing and abusing others despite Coyle and her people's best efforts. After Weisa swears a powerful and binding oath to put the children to rest, Coyly could leave at any time, yet has chosen to stay with them. The deceased priestess leads them to an axe can, a type of empowered Earlit necklace which contains both magic and wisdom within it, bidding the village Vale. The Fellowship leaves to seek out the Warden of the storm once more armed with the name of Marcus, actual patron God supplied by Kawali, Great Lady Tawea, refulgent one goddess of justice, handmaiden to the Supreme Phoenix and mistress of the Long Peace.
